New Everton Stadium

Where are your "unsubstantiated claims" that he didn't put any money in? I trust the person that told me fully. Do you trust your sources or are you just making assumptions based on nothing?
You said something like "Obviously I cant reveal my source". That's another way of saying "unsubstantiated".
I don't have any sources - I just haven't seen the investment. Show me where it is and I'll believe you. Until then, please don't make outrageous "Some fella told me" claims that you obviously can't back up.

Mad this though, he was that angry the people who messed up are still there...

My gut tells me it isn't all as it seems at Everton.
I respect that people have opinions different to my. However I will argue the case that this attitude of same old Everton needs to stop.
If it was same old Everton then there is no way that Moshiri would have laid out 5million on a gaffer and a million plus on DoF when he could have filled both positions for a lot lot cheaper.

When our accounts are released the myth that Moshiri paid for anything will be utterly destroyed.

Do any premier league owners actually use any of their personal wealth for transfers, stadiums, sacking management?

I always assumed they have an initial investment/purchasing of the club then they use income generated from the club for any outgoings ?

People making statements that he's already spent £10 million sacking Martinez? Surely it was the club as a whole- not from his own piggy bank ?

I'm fairly pleased with Moshiri so far ! No complaints.

His presence around the club was without doubt a factor, he allows us to throw more caution to the wind and operate at a higher level than we normally would have.

But we are a club that has operated at a profit the last few years and a club that benefits greatly from the Sky gravy train.

That's what I've always thought mate, when people go on about him paying £10m to pay off Martinez, Moshiri paid £7m to get Koeman in, Moshiri paid Leicester to get Walsh in (how do people know this) as you said, surely the money came from the club as a whole.

What are folks opinions on how the new stadium will be funded, this was Mosh's first statement, the new stadium and how to fund it, I just can't see anything but dire-ness on the pitch for the next 6-7 years with our best players being sold along the way

With Moshiri not having outright control though, wouldn't decisions still have to be be made with the ok from all board members?

Also, think the point I was making was that some lads would have us believe Moshiri paid off Martinez £10m, £7m for Koeman out of his own arse pocket.

Probably. The board bit. But thats like me asking my cats what they want for tea.

Doubt he has actually written a cheque out either, but its the intent and the power he has that decides what we do. If that means he will have to convert debt to equity, or whatever, he has the clout to do it/knows folk who can.

I have a theory, but it is nothing more than that. And selling players to fund it is not part of it.

Not to say we will never sell an asset ever again, but to do so to fund a ground wont be the reason to do so. For one simple reason. No one in their right mind would extend a line of credit to any football club on the basis of repayment being dependent on the sale of as yet, unrealised assets.
