New Everton Stadium

Moshiri will no doubt be the best thing to happen to this club for a long, long time.

I just dont like the way people have to lie to make him into a Saint.

He didnt pay off Martinez, he isnt paying Koeman and Walsh, he wont be buying us a new stadium, his presence on the other hand will allow or has allowed those things to happen.

im not lying about anything and i dont for a minute think anythings changed in real terms just yet! but my point is that he's changed things from

he's changed it though not financially as others bang on about, but Koeman would not be Everton manager if Moshiri wasnt here. He actually has a plan of action for the club, he knew the manager he wanted and he sold his vision of Everton to him! Theres things Mosh has changed theres things that still need improving. Im not a fan of some people calling him a fraud though!

I respect that people have opinions different to my. However I will argue the case that this attitude of same old Everton needs to stop.
If it was same old Everton then there is no way that Moshiri would have laid out 5million on a gaffer and a million plus on DoF when he could have filled both positions for a lot lot cheaper.

Missing my point, the two suspects who were running transfer dealings are still there. One boggles my mind everyday he has a job here, the other unfortunately has shares so there's no booting him away yet

No longer than the relative length of process for all other buildings. Im sure we'll see the design long before then. Just that theres no point applying for planning until you know the building 'works' as there is a huge amount that can change from the concept to the actual workable design, it 'could' just lead to having to submit twice.

This will be a major planning application with transport issues needing to be addressed as well as having grade 2 listed /WHS site hurdles to overcome. People expecting announcements any time soon are not being realistic.

The planning application will be public, so we get to see what's proposed as soon as the application is made. That could be relatively soon if everything is advanced as some people say. I agree that getting actual planning permission may have some hurdles and could take time.

I highly doubt it will be any time soon. They will likely use concept design images for any potential announcement, but certainly wont be the model supporting any formal planning application.

Personally it is the confirmation from the club that BMD is a goer and SC is not.

Also basic details such as 'getting the planning app together' Peel/land is sorted (subject to planning) and expected timescale when the planning app will be ready to submit. If it takes a year once submitted then so be it.

It is the 'Limbo' we are in (or have imagined ourselves to be in) that is both exciting and draining. If results were a bit better on the field then the pressure for a bit of firm news would be less I think but as it stands a chink of light is needed.

But what about if the club come out and confirm that they're hoping it does come off, and then something goes wrong? Wouldn't be the first time we've had false promises regarding a new stadium would it? The fanbase would be livid and the club would have brought it on themselves.

Why there is this expectation from the fans that they have to be kept informed on every last thing, especially with something as important as this is beyond me.

An aspect to consider here is likely airport expansion around London (most probably Heathrow). If the Government make the decision to expand Heathrow that is going to have a massive impact on the availability of engineers and skilled contractors, the price of steel, copper etc. When the stadiums for the London Olympics of 2012 were being built a lot of other capital infrastructure work had to be postponed because of a lack of skilled resources or high price of materials.

Best we get cracking!

It's not a matter of having to be kept informed. Obtaining planning permission is a public process. There will be no big reveal of a design that has received planning permission.

The application will satisfy the curiosity of loads of many fans who would like know to that an agreement has been reached with Peel, what size the stadium it will be, what form it will take etc.

If planning is rejected, we suck it up and move on. As others have said however, it is likely that many of the practical challenges that need to be dealt with will have been identified already.
