New Everton Stadium

Proper football stadium that. I think we would want a bit bigger. I also think the 2 behind the goal stands should be different to add a bit of character

I keep mentioning this stadium when i dream of Evertons new home.

About the right capacity and the crowd are in your face, you need that 12th man, never underestimate the importance of a good ground.

Most of the new stadiums in England have the atmosphere of a mince pie.

I like the design of FC Koln's RheinEnergieStadion above, but it isn't particularly big. Indeed, it only holds 50,000.

Tottenham's new stadium (set to be completed in around 18 months) will have a capacity of 61,000. What's more, Chelsea, Man City and Sunderland (yes, Sunderland!) all have plans to increase the capacities of their respective stadia to well in excess of 60,000.

With that in mind, building a brand-new stadium with a capacity of just 50,000 would send out a message to the world that EFC is a second rate club that can only think small. The likes of Newcastle, Man City, West Ham and Liverpool etc all have bigger stadia than that already.

I think the new stadium is going to have around 65,000 capacity. 60,000 'normal' seats and 5,000 corporate seats.

This is of course conjecture based on absolutely nothing

I was thinking we'd make it around 60,000 with the scope to increase to 65,000 in the future if required. But that's based on probably less evidence than you've used which is admittedly none.

As a reflective point, I would guess that no football club have ever built more than 2 stadiums, like, ever. So far anyrate. Developed, moved, made all seater, but from scratch, actually built more than 2 brand new grounds.

So this new place is for 100 years. Not next season, or the season after that.

It will be just the absolute DBs, convinced of it.

I'm aware other journalists think the announcement is a couple of months away but I'm pretty certain they've got the wrong information.

What do you expect the announcement to be mate? That we have acquired the land for the stadium? How confident are you that it will be Bramley Moore?

I don't know what stage Dan is at currently. A simple announcement that we have agreed to purchase the land subject to planing permission would make a lot of blues very happy.
You call him Dan like he's a friend of yours. Have you ever met him or spoken with him?

I explained to you months ago that any purchase would be have to be subject to PP after you were adamant the purchase was completed in August. You've since been using the 'subject to PP' phrase a lot.

I can help get the feeling that you love to give the impression you're in the know, rather that actually knowing stuff.
