A station between Moorfields and Sandhills is long overdue as it is a good distance. This might mean it finally happens. That said, people who know about these things say it would be very expensive as the track in on a viaduct on that stretch. Wouldn't it be great having a station called Everton Football Club?
Peels comments from that article (-29-12/2016) suggest there is ongoing talks but nothing concrete.Still nothing concrete?
There's likely to be lots of concrete.Still nothing concrete?
Still nothing concrete?
I've gone from being amused at the remote prospect of these newts to worrying they might appear out of thin air.Far too early for concrete. They haven't done the rare newts survey yet.

A boat from the Botanic Gardens ?? That would be some feat of engineering seeing as those Gardens are on Edge Lane ha ha Do you mean the Garden Festival site ?
Another thing that's amusing is their inability to accept that we are currently filling Goodison. Even the article itself refuses to acknowledge it:
"Just how big should the Blues go? Given that they regularly come close to filling Goodison"
The only game so far this season that the Everton supporters haven't managed to sell out was Arsenal. We got 39,510 for that, and 39,590 on Monday which was sold out a month before the game. So a whopping 80 unfilled seats for the Arsenal game, when we'd won 1 in 10, and tickets were on sale for well over £40, and in most cases, £46-£48 for back row obstructed view seats in the Lower Gwladys.
We have sold out all other league games, and had to fill an extra 1,200 seats for Swansea and Palace who even then, didn't fill their small allocations which is the reason that the attendances in those games were in the late 38,000 region. Not because we didn't fill our bit.
Meanwhile, across the park, they are over 1,000 short of Capacity every game, despite getting their amazing brand new modern stand with luxury views.
Why does it have to be a station on the viaduct? Why not a seperate junction off the main line running to a station closer to the ground? There will be demand for it once Liverpool Waters is fully realised.
He is, I particularly like the Empress of Blanding. * resists urge to start a dapper pigs thread.Could also stop over the water and by Liverpool 1......Wodehouse be perfect
Cost will be prohibitive - MPTE won't be able to make a case for something used c.25 times a year. Loads of place in the city with denser population have better case for train lines.
% of Stadium Filled in 2016/17:
1. Arsenal 99.4% = Man Utd 99.4%
3. Everton 99.3%
4. Chelsea 99.2%
5. Man City 97.9%
6. Liverpool 97.8%
Considering the restricted views, that is some going
Where is ths from? it makes for good reading, cant get tickets for Anfield....blah blah blah
