New Everton Stadium

SC is an absolute disaster with regards to transport, it's a fallacy that just dropping something next to a motorway means you're sorted in that respect.

Look at Kirkby, didn't the application have something like 3000 people cycling to the game!?!?

That was hilarious, and the fan's voted for it. They will do the same if a vote has to take place for SC. Glossy brochure talks of safety certificate and the fan's will fall for it again, hook line and sinker.

DK was ripped to shreds if I recall over transport. Cycles, buses from as far away as Yorkshire, single track 'crush-loaded' trains......

SC as you say would also be an absolute disaster in this aspect and I reckon EFC know it.

Good point, Sound City gets thousands in attendance and I've not heard of any major problems, their heads have gone.
You're talking about an annual event where folk are mostly drinking, and this will see towards public transport. Plus the arrival and departure times will be quite evenly spread across the day.

Conversely, lots of people drive to the game and this will not change unless there is an ultra-reliable park and ride system in place at the very least. The arrival and departure times for football in very much condensed, making dispersion of fans a logistical nightmare.

You can have park-and-ride at stations on all the Merseyrail lines plus there is ample parking in the city centre at weekends/evenings. Add in buses heading to the city centre this becomes easily the most accesible stadium in our history.
