You would think so but there not real scousers most of them.
For example I can see how Liverpool playing in Europe is good for the city because the hotels are all sold out when the play so that brings a lot of money into town, all the bars and restraints do well and a lot of people work in those places, things like that.
But because there so full of themselves keeping other rivals down is important to them, far more important then the city. Anything that challenges them isn't going to go down well at all.

Their only major assets are Klopp and their global fan base, one of which is drastically reducing as more and more years go by of them not being successful. If Klopp left, apart from Coutinho they do not have any major world class stars in that team. Their owners don't seem willing to finance the sort of players that City Chelsea and United are buying. If we go to the stadium with Moshiri's spending power behind us they know they are one poor managerial appointment from slipping behind us with no way back other than a sale to new ownership. It's the nightmare scenario for them.

Also, it's as if they're some kind of religious cult. The most recent one being when Neville criticised their keeper, which he does to other teams, they literally lost the plot over it especially Klopp
 
TBF though...I haven't seen/heard/read any kopites apart from a couple of tweets people have posted on here.

We exaggerating how much they care by any chance?

Doesn't really matter how many extreme views are being expressed, it's the content of the few that have that are causing great mirth.
