New Everton Stadium

I find this question confusing.

Whom would "own" the stadium?
Well, was thinking about it and I think it unlikely, but the build cost would presumably be high due to it's location and reclamation of land, possibly piles down to the bedrock (I admit I know nothing about construction), so if it became prohibitively expensive due to high mortgage repayments even allowing for naming rights and increased hospitality the question is would you prefer a leased stadium on the docks or an owned stadium elsewhere?
Bear in mind it's gone 5 in the morning and my mind is not it's sharpest.
Ownership could be Peel - think they have form for this.
Just musing really.

I see, its certainly a pickle, I mean considering that we practically havent "owned" Goodison for years hasnt caused us any issues.

But to gain max benefit, we would need to be owners, I think.

If the ownership is to be retained by Everton, I could see a similar corporate structure being used if an external mortgage were to be used - repayments secured against ticket sales and possibly hospitality unless the same weird internal seating market remains for premium deals.
As I say, just musings.

Er, OK.
So yourself and @MoutsGoat can talk figures but if I try to bring clarity that's wrong?
Consider me piped right down.

Well, this wasn't the way I intended this to come across. Sorry about that mate.

As Goat said, finance isn't my field - which was what my post was meant to convey - and I've seen people say you know your stuff when it comes to that so it was a "I'll leave this to the people who know what they're on about" sort of post.

For some reason this...

reminds me of this.....

I think if it uses real bricks rather than mass concrete or steel it will be a thing of beauty.

they are using the old london yellow brick. and by the looks of it, theres going to be a couple of million in it. looks a lot better close up than it does from a distance.

i think as its alot of masonary work instead of steel thats why chelsea are going to be away from the site for 3 years. that could have a huge impact on there performances.
