New Everton Stadium

I agree that it was a Ewood Park, The New Den, JJB, on steroids. I just think that is what you get when you have a weird obsession with four separate stands, rather than going for the clearly superior modern day ‘bowl’ stadiums.

Affluent clubs build modern day bowl structures, impoverished wool clubs go for the inferior four separate stands design. They’re still new stadiums though, I’m not quite sure if comparing them to sheds is entirely accurate.

Totally agree mate. Kenwright will be loving this obsession with separate stands, almost certainly a cheap option.

Spurs new stadium, bowl design but has a different tier structures inside, wouldnt mind if we went a similar route, bowls look a lot more pleasing on the eye but you always want different set ups with the stands inside

Wow that looks perfect. I love the single tier behind the goal.

Will nail my colours to the mast: not a chance on Earth this stadium will ever see the light of day. The funding arrangements for even the most minimal of investments into the project as a whole are beyond us. Surprised people are getting their hopes up to be honest, but maybe that's just the pessimist in me talking

Totally understand where you're coming from, but the club is riding the crest of roberto's wave at the moment and, if ever there was a time to appear attractive to investment, it's when you're on the up! ;)

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the Everton way...

the "muddying the waters campaign" is already underway, The ECHO is leading the charge, publishing a report today, showing plans for a shared stadium, built in the middle of the town by "simply" knocking down the St Johns shopping center.

What is wrong with the people at The Echo? Are they that worried that Everton will have a better stadium than Liverpool, that they try to detract from a deliverable solution at WHP with these pointless, undeliverable solutions in the middle of Town.

Mate, cmon, who really thinks that will happen?

Someone has super imposed the old Wembley on the shopping centre.

That is my point. It was the same with Kirkby, we had a real solution and people started to put forward proposals for things that the club could never deliver, just to split the fan base and create doubt over the move.

Wherever we move to we will always have people who don't want to move, but articles like the one in the Echo just divide the fan base further and give the people protesting about us moving to WHP something to focus on. It's not helpful. When Liverpool were looking to move to Stanley Park, the Echo didn't print this kind of rubbish, it only seems to happen when it is Everton who are trying to move

Huh, you are kidding yes?

Very weird article though. My experience of these types tends to suggest this is being fed by someone somewhere..

LFC plans rejected next week?
That would be an awesome stadium. Can't understand why the paper would go to print with pure fantasy. Weird one. In any case, would Bill and his cronies even consider something outside Walton now? Probably gone and signed another one of those bloody "exclusivity agreements"!

No chance. The St Johns centre is owner by a private equity firm that paid about £75m for it and have invested maybes £5m since then.
