Pretty cool stuff. I like the fact they integrated the old stand to give it some character.

In saying that though, I wouldn't want the new stadium looking like this. It needs to be something cutting edge, not off the shelf, in my opinion of course..

Can't tell on the image where the old stand was.

You can just about see the old curve shape in the corner kind of meeting the corners of both tiers. I quite like that.

One of the great things about Goodison is the experience in the different parts of the ground. Aside from the obvious downsides, pillars, view etc,

I've been to Wembley maybe a hand full of times, no idea which end or side I was on. Feels so soul less.

Yeah I see that, but it's gone from one steep stand to a tiered stand.

haha yeah good point mate.

Just think of when they changed the badge...!

It's quite surreal actually posting in an actual New stadium thread for us. any previous threads usually involved me posting a picture of a subbuteo stand with some sort of "Bill has it all in hand" caption..
It is becoming a reality mate, the designs is what we are all waiting for, i reckon sometime during the summer before the new season

Just looking at the Juvenile stadium. The stands are so steep. I take it Uk building regulations will prevent us from being able to match that rake?

Finnish pundit Petri Pasanen just sayed he had just talked with someone in the club who said that it was built that way just to ensure boss atmosphere. And 42k attendance was also strategic decision they wanted to sell out always.

That's the problem with the bowl design. Arsenal have the same issue...the place has no identity. You could be anywhere. Highbury you knew instantly you were at Arsenal. West Ham's is the worst being a bowl acommpanied with a running track. Gave up the Bobby Moore stand for that.

Another issue with the bowl stadiums is the lack of scope for expansion, unlike box stadiums.
