New Everton Stadium

Well would you go to say Speke, or how about that bit of land near Tonwsend Avenue, it is in Liverpool. Walton Hall Park is in L4 so that is okay. Me, could say I am a traditionalist and the only time I contemplated moving out of L4/Walton was Kings Dock.

You voted for Kirkby and thats not even in the city.

Two Teams For Football Stadium Upgrade
Two leading firms in their respective fields have teamed up to provide an enhanced home for Everton Football Club.

Merseyside Galvanizing and Shawton Engineering Ltd have fabricated and galvanized steelwork which has been used to create a walkway to access, install, and maintain new floodlighting at Goodison Park. With a capacity for 40,221 fans, the new floodlights were installed to enable the stadium to meet FA criteria.

Paul Hiscock, Contracts Manager at Shawton Engineering Ltd, explained: "We called upon our long-standing partners, Merseyside Galvanizing, to provide their hot dip galvanizing treatment to around 50 tonnes of steel, as our client required a long-term protection and the need for little or no maintenance. This is especially important as the structures are based outdoors and are open to all kinds of British weather."

Looks like new stadium seems in the distant future.

......sounds more like it had to be done so they did it properly rather than have it high maintenance. Not an accountant, but it's that time in the financial year when ring fenced monies have to be spent on such things.

I think we are in for a long wait no matter what.

I think we are in for a long wait no matter what.
All Board bashing aside by me for a minute, how can we have any timeline when the reality, almost certainly, is the Board are basing their "efforts" on building a new stadium on asking for handouts? Be it from the council or private investors.

So we are not stagnating in a decrepit stadium????
still the preferable option to this shed...

You keep banging on about this kirkby move even though you admit you havent read anything about why it was called in. Truth is big blue Bill should have been run out of town after losing the kings dock that was our chance to mix it with the elite

He means long term protection as in galvanised steel as its exposed to the elements and its unpainted.

Some major over thinking going on here.

All that work probably came in much below £200k.

Neither here nor there.

The club has been stagnating ever since Kenwright took over, its got nothing to do with GP and to top it off the club has never had so much money thanks to Sky.

Staggering to me how he is still in control of our club really...just staggering.
We won't win anything under him, and history will show his time here as meaningless really. Yet we still die a slow death...and few care.
Any Hoots. More important things in life.
