Birmingham's CWG stuff..
Birmingham have released new computer generated images of how Alexander Stadium might look if the city is awarded the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
A new permanent seating arrangement of up to 25,000 seats will be increased to 40,000 during the 2022 Commonwealth Games, with flexibility to go higher, bid officials claim.
All athletics and Para athletics disciplines for Birmingham 2022, with the exception of the marathon, which will take place in Birmingham’s city centre, will take place in the Alexander Stadium.
The Stadium will also host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. #BrumBid2022
if Birmingham get the commonwealth games will it push back BMD date?
Has anyone heard or read how they will combat the smell from the sewage works? I drive past BMD to and from work and 80% of the time it really smells awful.

Still not set timetable for actually selecting the host city, but...
Commonwealth Games England (CGE) will announce whether Birmingham or Liverpool will be their candidate for 2022 in September, insidethegames has been told.
CGE chairman Ian Metcalfe and chief executive Paul Blanchard told insidethegames here that they are expecting the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) to select a host city for the 2022 event, stripped from Durban in March after they failed to meet financial guarantees, in early November.
The CGF have not revealed when a decision will be made.
As well as Birmingham and Liverpool, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Victoria in Canada and Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia have expressed an interest in hosting the Games.
Their respective Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) have until September 30 to submit a formal bid to the CGF.
A review team, made up of CGF officials and international experts, is expected to review the merits of each bid in October.
Cities will then be given the chance to put their case to the CGF before a city is chosen the following month.
