Since the rules restrict tv money inflating wages.

I'm saying Everton Football Club is LOADED.

Its just now being FORCED to spend TV money on stadium and infrastructure to boost commercial revenue

So how would you spend the 40 mill we get in the Summer from TV money then?

Apart from spending on the stadium (if we had one to spend on), spending on transfers leaves the only option getting rid of as many squad players off the wage bill as we can, if we want to pick up 1 or 2 quality signings.

The club has more than sufficient revenue for a deposit on a stadium and to build it.

Anyone thinking Everton is a poor club is utterly delusional.

We are now one of the richest clubs in the world. Thanks to tv money.

The club just needs to mobilise the commercial side to boost it further and secure our future for the next 100 years



If Kenwright and co dont do it. We are dead. Inside 10 years as we won't be able to compete without a 55k stadium

In what world do we need to sell a big player to fund a stadium? Have you not heard of the £5.1BILLION sky deal? Literally the worst club every year will get £100mil per season. The fn stadium better fund itself at this juncture.

Stadium. Is financed over 5 years or more.

Money is available. Not worried about the summer.

I'm thinking post 2017.

Realistically if we don't do something with the stadium now with all the TV money available, we may as well give up.
Post 2017? I am sure an even bigger TV deal will be in place, if that is what you are referring to.

Exactly.

Only an idiot couldn't fund a stadium with the FFP/premier league wage rules

And this tv deal.

Kenwright has no excuses and no ability to spend it elsewhere.

By 2017/2018 if we aren't in or moving to a new stadium with sufficient capacity we will struggle after that point.

The recent tv negotiations and deal are set to begin in the 2016/2017 season.

This is on top of the last one. We are in now. With a 20mil jump in revenue.


Its like striking oil.

If we don't build a whopping great big 55,000 fortress with that. We are screwed.

But in terms of stadium.

Jesus. The club should have architects and civil engineering companies banging at our door.


The old statements of the early and mid-2000's are dead. When it comes to finances.

The issue is people may not understand we can't burn it on players (we can buy players; just not stupidly) due to financial rules

What it means is there is no excuses for Everton to not have a state of the art major stadium.

The money is there.

Yet the Board are still dependent on a handout from somewhere or someone. That seems to be their plan it appears.
