New Everton Stadium

BBC running a story from the climate coalition report on rising water levels and the impact on waterfront sport venues:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/42936199
I've said this in previous posts ....
The land mass of the UK was affected by the ice age whereby billions of tons of ice created a see saw effect with the north being pushed down and the south raising.
With the end of the ice age the land mass is now returning to its original levels.
So the north is now raising and the south is now lowering.
Examples of this in the north include Southport beach , how far out is the sea ?
And the Thames barrage in the south , in a bit London :bye:
With thanks to my middle child doing A Level Geology , we salute you ;)

I reckon it will be single tier. 16K ish capacity.

need atleast 25k .. safe standing only :D:celebrate: .. let me dream

I don't mean to be negative because it's quite boring to read a lot of the repetitive moaning on here, especially in this thread, but just looking at that Dortmund picture highlights how steep them stands are.

But on that picture of the Vikings - US Bank Stadium that Meis was tweeting about, the stands are no where near as steep. The side stands look tall, but I don't think they are steep in the way that the Dortmund Stands are. I wouldn't be complaining if we got a Stadium as impressive as the US Bank one, but I wonder if Meis has actually factored this in, or whether his version of steep is more a US NFL idea of the word, which is quite different to the Football one that we are familiar with.

That image has been stretched more than a makeshift Everton fullback. It's not that steep at all.

The way I read and understood the meis tweet was the capacity was right just need to move it to BMD.

I'm not sure where the one large home end stand has come from.

It will have one large home end, that's been confirmed on here by people much closer to info.

That Dortmund picture is way off, there's millions of normal photos out there of it. As for the steepness of the US Bank stadium it's literally a different sport. The NFL generally have shallow lower rakes, massively more space on the touchlines for the technical staff and what seem to us poor end stands as the culture is more side-on over there for that game.

I can't see it being like the Allianz as copying or paying homage to another stadium is hardly inline with the rhetoric coming fron Dan Meis i.e. evolving from the docks and paying homage to Leitch. Also we're supposed to be getting something original.

Be interesting to see what they have planned for the nelson Dock.

Have we got any of the big commercial firms looking at the retail, leisure aspect of the development?

Any idea who’s working with us on planning?
