New Everton Stadium

It’s going to be interesting to see the type of fan that gets invited to these workshops with Dan Meis. I’m sure some research is going into carefully cherrypicking the fans they feel will fall in line with the club’s views on moving to BMD.
Well, you can only really attend if you don't work during the day- judging by the times they offered. All midday. The could of done several one hour sessions (thats how long they are) at the weekends.

No one has mentioned about the sewage treatment plant that's going to be next to the stadium for a while. (Plants seed and carrys on stirings the pot)

I work bank holidays. This year was the first time in 8 years I haven't worked new years day :(

Couple of Stadiums in Germany i like (see below). Really think we should look at them. The only thing i dont like it the exteriors on them. I just think ours should be part brick part metal, its in keeping with Bramley Moore Dock itself. Something like Celtic or Rangers from outside would be nice. An all metal look wouldnt be right in my opinion.

Some ideas i like are having a retractable pitch/roof, A museum in the stadium (would be cool to have a cinema room in it to watch videos on the club as part of a stadium tour), a massive fanzone/fanclub with a bar in the New Gwladys Street stand, a built in restaraunt open to the public, 3g pitches and building for events/projects next to the stadium for eitc and maybe a hotel attached similar to boltons stadium.

Stadium we should look at;

Schalke 04- http://www.stadiumguide.com/arenaaufschalke/

Borussia Dortmund- http://www.stadiumguide.com/westfalenstadion/

HSV Hamburg-http://www.stadiumguide.com/hamburgarena/

Whats everyones thoughts on them?

Don’t believe all the new ground = back to the glory days stuff just yet. Look at West Ham, fair enough, nowhere near as big as us but they haven’t exactly got much better in the new ground and their fans clearly don’t like it. We want to be so careful not to go down their route
