He's the project sponsor, or in other words the stadium man on the board for updates and overall direction of the work. The project manager will deal with the day to day work, two very different roles.

again, the comments section is full of reds crying and shaking pretending not to be scared.

The fact that this was sent out to 50,000 fans, shows how much bigger the capacity should be when you consider the whole host of fans who aren't members, future fans and tourists etc.

Best looking stadium I've seen in a long time is those pictures are accurate.

Here it is in the flesh for you to compare, photo taken a few minutes ago from one of the live cameras at the stadium. Obviously still a work in progress and all the covers are still on the seats that are installed. They started work on the pitch recently though.

It's surprising how much work can be done in a little amount of time. There are some pics about of Atletico's new stadium at this point last year and it looked similarly a ways off but they managed to get it ready on time.

Much of the things todo that will make it look much more complete are superficial, like fitting the last of the seats to the already installed fixings and removing the covers and last bits of scoffolding still inside. Plus growing the grass on the pitch.

No funding arrangement in place.

No stadium Director appointed.

2025/26 earliest if at all. Calling it now.

Nothing about the funding being sorted out and until it is this is all just a bunch of handwaving distraction.
