New Everton Stadium

- 15th June, Barret-Baxendale's exhaustive worldwide search for a stadium development director begins.....

- 13th August, feller down the corridor puts head round door: "Go on then Denise, I'll do it"

Do we have any employees who have not been promoted.......

It will be good enough, for now. cant see it being 60k+ tho, which will make loads fume, I mean I want 60k+ myself, but theres loads of factors to suggest its simply not possible.

I guess we see.

the fact that dan has said it will NOT be possible to increace capacity once it is built means, that we HAVE to get 60k now.. we have to match the potential of the dozen other clubs ahead of us on stadium capacity

Or, he applied, they looked at other candidates, and decided this bloke was as good as any outsider. He has only been back at the club for 18 months or so.

And like most on here, I hadnt heard of him till about 10 minutes ago.

edit. Or, 18 months ago he was identified as the bloke to drive this through when various dots are joined, gave him a non job till dots were joined, then had a pretence of a global search, when they had already done one?

Might be a step too far that, even for me.

The timescales seem odd to be fair mate. I am amazed at the lack of joining dots though. I am seeing links from newspapers like the Times who are running stories the Usmanov wants no involvement in Everton while in the same article saying he has met Everton managers like Sam Allardyce.

Nobody seems to question why? It seems such an obvious link. Journalists generally don't hesitate to make such links as it's a great story. If I'm honest it almost seems like some are being told to put out misinformation which is understandable.

As for the stadium, I'd say any appointment from two years ago that is now being finalised should not be viewed as coincidence.

A lot of the time there seems like it's just too much of a stretch to link AU to being behind it. However with everything thats going on, it would be a bigger stretch to say he wasn't really.

A bloke with 35 years experience in construction/stadiums, pitching up from Laings 2 years ago, as Head of Everton Estates, or whatever the "job" was?

Wasnt to oversee the cladding and disabled access for sure.
