I knowBloody hell!!!
You always said it wouldn’t be built therefore capacity was irrelevantI've always advocated 50+K.
The potential to expand is definitely them trying to calm down the expected backlash.
From the designs Meis shown and the space around the stadium, I highly doubt it’s feesible.
Pimms No 1 dressedHope it’s boss and sells pimms.
Pimms No 1 dressed
Now there was a drink to impress a lady on a first date
Bloody expensive though if you weren’t getting a leg over
More bothered by the planning application being delayed by a year than a few thousand seats.
I was of the opinion that safe standing ie rail seats was on a 1:1 basis and did not increase capacityI wonder if the expansion to 62k comes on the back of safe standing and what they have said about transforming two stands for safe standing if that becomes a thing? So safe standing is introduced and we have 62k, it's not and we stay at 52k
Could imagine all the scallys in the new gladwys throwing it over each other singing lets go effing mental.
I dont get the angst over capacity. Its much more important to secure an iconic, well built stadium on a site of such global importance. Revenues will flow from it regardless. And Everton couldn't sustain home gates initially of 60k with likely ticket prices in 4 years time.
It's just a nob measuring exercise.
Well it does make the stadium more desirable to any prospective owner if the carpetbagger decides to sell upIf we are paying for it long term there is no way it will be extended in the first 15-20 years, unless we win the Russian billionaire owner lottery that is.
