wasn't there a design ages ago of a roof that curled over and the upper tiers are in front of the lower ones ? an image even had our badge in the corner

That’s what I was thinking. It was meant to be the best design for a loud stadium.

A 52,000 seater wavey thing. If im honest i couldn't care less about the external look. So long as it's not embarrassing then I'm ok with whatever. We are getting a budget to mid level stadium in a nice but restricted location & it will be nice enough. Not world class or world leading in any way but nice.
The inside will be smaller than we wanted, less imposing than we wanted but adequate to good at the job it serves as a new stadium.
Anyone who thinks it will be any more than this needs a reality check.

Its nothing to do with the overall stadium shape , he's mentioned it a few times.

Unless I've dreamt it I'm sure he mentioned it around the time he was signing up to make plastic seats from the plastic waste in the ocean too. Maybe a nod to that.
