New Everton Stadium

Has anybody asked the Spurs fan who drops in here now and then how they transferred the season tickets over from WHL to the new ground? It is a good little clique by where I sit and it would be nice if we moved as a block, so we were all sitting by each other?

I was thinking that. Sat around the same people for over 20 years now.

Obviously why we have a season ticket waiting list now, it can't be for the football we play.

I certainly would not like the job of seat allocations, its easy to say one for one swap but as the ground is bigger it may not work.

As an individual I changed my seat from top balcony down to main stand about 15 years ago as I have difficulty on my legs and two seats came available (me and my niece - not both for me!!!) on the aisle which means I get to stretch a bit.

Now as I'm not formally diagnosed as disabled I cannot be given any preference but I am sure their are many others like me who have needs for their particular seats but none that would guarantee preferential treatment.

We could all discuss the fairest way for seat allocations until the cows come home but as this is Everton I wont hold my breathe until the keys are handed over to the new Estates/Facilities Manager and the H&S certs are in our grubby mitts!!!!:celebrate::celebrate:

Strange, every time I go to BMD I struggle with the size of the site but on that video it looks much larger. Different perspective probably.

Not gonna lie, the amount of time this has taken and the number of promises made by the club that it’s truly going to be something special, etc… if we don’t get an iconic, one-of-a-kind stadium displayed to us on Friday than I am going to be sorely disappointed.

I don't care about 60,000 seats. That isn't going to make a big financial difference to Everton. Just give us something to be proud of.

If the club get this right I won't doubt them again.

I feel sick at the thought of leaving GP. Be like losing a family member. Always been there in my life from a toddler. I know nothing else other than thats where im supposed to be every other week and thats where a massive part of my life will always be. Some of my happiest times, some of my worst. It's part of me, and every one of us.
None of us can let that go without a tear and a fight.
But we have to.
We have no other choice really.
Cheers. Crying again.

I’m going to stick my neck on the line and predict people will moan about the designs. Bold, I know.

Well isn't that sorta human nature? Otherwise we would all be attracted to the same body type, only want to buy a particular house and only like the same clothes. Its why the forum has so much bickering as soon as someone disagrees about something the same folk get all outraged when its really nothing to get eaten up about.

Regardless of how good/bad the stadium designs will be someone will like parts and others wont.

Why its such a hard job as very difficult to cater something to 10 people never mind 500,000+ however Evertonians there are.

If Meis manages that he's a magician.

Just hope its something completely unique - I think there will be references to GP/Leitch in the designs and some will love that whereas I wont and prefer GP as a one off with BMD being unique in its own right.

I will remember you said that Sam haha
