Goodison is situated differently. IIRC the need for compulsory purchases would be minimal and the rebuild would not flatten the surrounding streets around any goodison redevelopment.

There should not be ANY at all imo, we should not be a club who forces people out of their homes ever just to have a new shiny stadium.

There has to be realism. The realsitic option for Everton would have been to carry on the redevelopment started under Johnson. That divvy started the move bandwagon and it hasn't stopped rolling.

I tell you this though: if/when BMD goes west like all the others, after the disappointment has abated there will be a massive surge to rebuild Goodison. Those old Ward-MvHigh blueprints will be getting the cobwebs blown off them and the KEIOC redevelopment plan will get another airing.

This is the last new-build proposal this board will bring to the table ever. One last shot at it.

A CPO can be justified for the right reasons.

What they did was purposeful socio economic decline to get the other properties cheap.

If it's a true north/south pitch, I can't see how it's going to fit. The stands around Goodison are tight to the pitch as it is.

I think EFC bought those houses a long, long time ago. Some of the players lived in them, I believe. Certainly some of the ex players back in the mid 20th century.
