You could increase the cost of the available seats to offset this lossIf capacity was reduced to 30,000 during the redevelopment it would cost £4-5 million a year in lost revenues. Totally agree on the second point!

Bet the cost of concrete, or plastic seats, or grass or something has sky rocketed, torpedoing the whole thing though.
Everton that.
Plastic comes from oil ...
Ok mate. You believe that witchcraft?
It's interesting that you don't think thatI don't think that anybody takes the accusation of money being laundered out of the club seriously
Looking ar Bordeux stadium playing the [Poor language removed].... impressive at the cost of £ 130 million ......42000 seater but take that upto 50k
Construction cost €168 million? Good luck Everton funding an amount getting something like that started.Had a look at the Bordeaux Stadium website. Turns out that €20mil funded by the club, €75 mil funded by local and regional government (probably rationalised by it being a Euro 2016 venue) and the rest private money with Bordeax paying €3.85mil rent per year on a 30 year lease.
My understanding is that the football club don't have exclusive use.
But it is beautiful!!!!

Same with all the German stadiums, funded centrally for the World Cup in 2006 weren't they? Trouble is even if England got the World Cup the gov wouldn't fund any new grounds, since they must have enough over or around 50,000 capacity now? Wembley, old Trafford, Emirates, etihad, st James, Olympic stadium, anfield, stadium of light, then the likes of. Villa Park or even millennium stadium could be used?Had a look at the Bordeaux Stadium website.
