New Everton Stadium

You only need to read the government's press release dated 22nd June on direct.gov in relation to the construction industry and getting Britain building post Covid. You will then realise that any sniff of this getting called in to central government and it will get thrown right back in their faces.

The country needs massive construction projects, it does not want delays due to red tape. As much as I despise this tory government, they won't stop construction in favour of heritage.

Am starting to think Esk is a abit unwell.
The article states funding hasn’t be confirmed
no they didn’t, the point of consultation is to get feedback. They have received that and are now acting on it
the plans changed because of world Heritage not the fans and they still want a government review... did anyone attually read what Colin Chong said... He tried to put it in a positive spin but it but basically said.. it’s being delayed and there a big chance the government could be could in. Despite the fact they changed and improved the design to suit the heritage and councils demands

Utter bollocks as per usual. They had initial outline of works, a working template as to when. But seeing as you’ve never been involved in any type of project management you’d know those are subject to a variety of variables. And as such I said this last year when you were having another fit over this

there’s been no real delays, just the usual game of how these things work.

mean I’ve told you all this last year, put your toys away and have a coke and a smile

Sorry Mr I work for LCC planning.

Get round to looking at the plans whenever you're ready lid.

theres no spin, there was a public consultation and stakeholder consultation which I’ve said all along. It’s one of the biggest developments and is going to be up for detailed scrutiny

well, I don’t.... I’m just not an impatient biff

You get incredibly butt hurt whenever someone dares question the timescale of planning and the pace in which LCC has handled the application process.

I can literally feel the spit coming out of my phone reading your response mate.

Unless your Big Joe why would you be arsed what anyone thinks of LCC?

The idea, imo, should be to get people to flock to the riverfront during the other 346 days a year. A good seated patio bar or something could have been amazing there and quite the draw, especially for sunset.

Have you ever been to the northern docks? A seated patio bar would be great for about 3 hours a year. Rest of the time you'll be desperate to get back inside or round the other side.

You would be surprised!! West Hams stadium has them all around the outside and even has a fence panel as a gate inside!

Away dressing rooms would be good.. with a special one suspended over the river when them lot play here...

That stadium was always meant to be built with no facilities as a permanent structure as they were dismantling most of it after the Olympics. WHU have just ended up with a shambles when the plans changed.

I'm hoping they can still incorporate the Leitch design in the interior - even if it was a clever video display around the stands - a physical version would be great though. The original criss/cross design on the Bullens is so iconic and make Goodison truly "Old School"

Every EFC goal I want all the internal electronic ad boards to change to the Leitch crosses. That way we'd still have pictures after goals of players and celebrations with them on.

Quite right and so it should be.

no mate, just when people who have no idea and start chatting utter bubbles.

And I’m not the one having a fit because I can’t comprehend the planning process of a large scale project

but carry on

Well obviously you know more than me on this sort of thing mate... so can LCC grant this thing regardless of objections from the likes of Heritage England or do they have to refer it to central government if they continue to object to our plans?
