New Everton Stadium

I'm not brand new mate, but whatever. Lived in the Walton area a long time and I know which is easier to get away from and it's not the city centre. As I say the romantic vision is sound by me, but it's not easier travel wise
I think TommyDavo that is why you are blinkered when it comes to moving away.

As you state, you have lived in Walton for a long time (me too 39 years), i have now moved away and believe me, i would much rather walk to the game like I used too but live to far and as I have to rely on public transport or drive I would much rather a city centre location as obviously our city centre it has better transport links.

Our supporters travel from far and wide, not just walton or its local area and more important too me would be the location supported by good transport links, they are already basically in place in the city centre.

T ask a local council to not only support our location site but then pay for new transport links in a time when council tax increases are imminent is not only greedy but a little self centred.

Its all about the big picture!!!!!!!

If it is a relocation

Heart says ....Clarence Dock

Head says....Stanley park

Reality says...Walton Hall Park.

Whilst I am a champion of city centre/docks would have to agree with you on this one.

want

would accept

will probably be stuck with.....

but it all makes a good topic to go on about until something is forthcoming from the club.

:celebrate:

The thing that puts me off WHP the most is by doing a deal with the council, the park was to be full of houses to make it viable and I think Everton need Everton related things around any new ground bringing income into the club, bars, restaurants hotels etc. Besides, I'd sooner we didn't lose another park in the city because they don't make parks like that anymore. There'd also be a lot of opposition to it aswell.

We absolutely need to keep the parks. Some of the most historic parts of the city.

Spent a lot of time in WHP as a kid including listening to acts on the stage and also visiting the aviary

In the city centre, and is doesn't have to be a dockland if that is too expensive, we can have a hotel chain enabler, major brewery such as Greeneking who have gastro pubs as well as bars and megabus/national express/avviva running the park and ride.

Its all about having the right people on board to make it happen without loosing more parks and putting us well and truly on the map.

The shoites new stand may overlook the city centre, but that's where they can look at us, in the city centre.

Feel like we need something which will really say YEAH, WE BILLIONAIRES NOW Y'FEEL?

Keep your parks dogging fans....we need a dockfront location just North of the city to become what we need to be

Absolutely, the council should be looking up to cleaning and refurbing our open spaces not covering them with concrete. There is so much brownfield around the council should be getting hold of that for developeent and applying pressure to land holders and developers.

I feel sure that the council could take stronger action with developers like Peel even to the point of a CP on land.

Couldn't give a flying one about where they stick it, I will be there. The point I was answering was about access/egress and if you've been to the arena with a 10k crowd you'll understand the problems caused by a central location

It'll be an incredibly emotional day if (when imo) we leave the old lady. There won't be a dry eye in the house I'm sure.

However, I can equally envisage the day that I take my seat at our shiny new ground and looking around with pride knowing it'll be the place where future generations of Blues will create their own memories and how it'll find a place in their heart. God willing I look forward to that day.

Onward and upwards Blues.
