New Everton Stadium

The fans favourite option would be to redevelop Goodison. However I think this is the most least likely option. Second would be a riverside stadium, would also be very popular and it would be iconic to have a stadium on the waterfront. Lastly is a stadium at another site i.e. WHP. I think whatever Moshiri plans will show his long term intentions with regard to the football club. If it is somewhere like WHP, I really hope it is stadium that does the club and its supporters proud. However if it is a more favourable location (waterfront) it would be interesting to gauge the opinions of fans if the stadium was not of the same specification as WHP but a much more attractive location. Either way I hoping Moshiri will do the best for the long term future of the club with his decision.

Dockside stadium would be great from a iconic point of view but how practical would a 55,000 seated stadium be like to get in and out of ? The Echo arena is not exactly the easiest to access post show as it gets quite congested

I just want a class stadium within the city boundaries if Goodison can't be redeveloped then as long as its a good quality stadium I am not bothered if its on the docks or at WHP

As long as the quality of the stadium is of a high standard is my view

something like this will do me

I still weep at these comments by Kenwright about the Kings Dock

Kenwright said: "We have the opportunity to have the finest arena, the finest football stadium, in the world - it's mind-blowing. Every time we look it gets better. There is a real vision behind these plans and I aim to ensure that vision becomes a reality.

"We have spent a great deal of time on these plans already and visited a number of other arenas around the world, like the Amsterdam ArenA, to give us a better idea of what we are working with. The experts have told us in no uncertain terms it can be a success. I'm very excited.

"I'm sure Arsenal or Leeds, who are also working towards new stadiums, would be delighted to have the opportunity we now have. We are not going to let this chance pass us by."

Especially the last bit in bold... FFS.

Lets hope Moshiri if he gets us in a position that good - that he takes it and runs as fast as he can.

thats probably not accurate assumption eventhough GOT poll indicated it.

The Westfalenstadion (speaking of the set-up and atmosphere) is the best in Europe.

If our new shiny stadium could emulate this design (for the internal components/layouts), I wouldn't mind the architects doing something a bit 'special'/out there for the exterior. It's the one thing that lets the Westfalenstadion down and isn't iconic/instantly recognisable to general football fans.

Allianz, Wembley (thanks largely to the arch), Camp Nou and the Maracana, are all iconic.

Kings Docks :( could and should have been. So lets hope they get someone impressive to knock some designs up.

Westfalenstadion

I am completely enamored with the BvB support and that culture. Not taking anything away from our own supporters especially those who go to the away games but those Dortmund kids have the "it" factor, whatever that may be. Special.

While i think that stadium is impressive the people make that place what it is. It is a 4 sided rectangle with one special standing section where they can fit 25K. That's more than 25% of the capacity. Can you imagine the Gwadlys as a standing room only terrace?
Goodison already is raucous on our day (at least i hear that through my tv) I don't think an architectural "icon" is needed to provide the finest arena that Kenwright dreams of.

Dortmunds stadium and especially the wall is famous for its atmosphere because it's a standing terrace. We are along way from ever getting clearance for that. I'd be in favour for it myself, gone are the days when he needed to dreaded fences.

You know what would be fantastic about a Riverside stadium, If we had a lit facade, where we can use rear projection of text. Imagine the first Transatlantic liner of the season sails into Liverpool Cruise terminal, next door to huge fanfare, and on the side of he the Everton stadium in HUGE letters, is:

EVERTON WELCOME YOU TO OUR GREAT CITY

I do not think Moshiri will reveal any of his thinking at this time. There will have to be a myriad of discussions with landholders and LCC. So I cannot see any announcement being made for some time.

Maybe unofficial chats have been going on for months? Like this came totally out of the blue. But it has since emerged that Bill and him were chatting for a year or 18 months ago.

It does throw a different light on the train wreck that Elstone caused with his ill advised pop at LCC, and Anderson piping him down so quickly.

If the stadium is topish of his agenda, as in, he knows something has to be done, I would be astonished if he has spent/committed god knows how much cash without some sort of "encouragement" from certain parties.

Mate, we will never know until he comes out and advises us, no matter how long there had been discussion with BK. The with Anderson to me smacks a little of WHP rather than develop GP.

As an aside, me i would buy up the houses around GP to make the FP bigger offer the value of the house plus 75K, as for the school build a new one on Stanley Park. The FP could then shifted to the east and put a darn big wall around St Lukes. Just an idea.

Problem with that mate is look how long it took the RS to buy up the surrounding houses. Even if Everton offered more than the market value there's always going to be some folk who just don't fancy a move.

Then anything to do with Stanley park, certainly the glasshouse side can't be touched as far as I'm aware which only leaves by the car park and I'm sure us and the scruffs still need that area for parking.

I'm not saying it can't be done, I just think that it could take years to purchase the land around Goodison to make the Foot print larger.

I'm all for redeveloping Goodison btw and I'm sure in the coming months we will get to hear what our next step is going to be.

As I said Mate just an aside, still think it will be very, very difficult to refurb GP on the existing FP.
