Then we might as well stay where we are if we are going to dust down the DK project and move it to another cheap site which lacks vision and is detached form the heart of the city.

Not sure its quite like the DK proposal however this is just speculation until we hear what's what, but are you saying if we don't get a plot we want we stay put and do nothing ?

Imagine how freely they could plan stadium and its surroundings (SC) compared to other places. This site could provide bigger scale plans all together.

Couldn't agree more. Location Location Location doesn't apply so much to stadium planning as it does to house buying.
End of the day, wherever we plonk a stadium, we're going to have 40-50k people descending on it every fortnight.
As long as we make the facility right for that, I'm prepared to be reasonably flexible.

This means:
* Good transport links
* Options for eating/drinking/shpping
* Integration with local community that fosters good relations
* Parking ample

My knowledge of Liverpool is pretty much confined to the Kings Dock area City centre and the area around Goodison.

There's always options available, but they wouldn't be cheap or easy to build.

You'll love Stonebridge then because you'll not need to go into Liverpool - just come off the M62 at j6 and nip round the m57.

I thought they still held their 1000 year lease or whatever it was there despite the fact they've chosen to redevelop their stadium.
