New Everton Stadium

I should say - I'm not in favour of SC - just telling you what I've been told and guessing why it could be an attractive site.

Thanks for passing on the Info.
It will be on the options list because it,s..cheap
It really needs to be on the Liverpool Riviera and lock ourselves into the now and future epicentre of the city.

So there would defo be pubs too....yerssss

Clearly if a stadium gets built the area would adapt and capitalise on the new footfall. I'm sure new pubs, bars hotels etc would spring up in no time. More to the point though, if EFC have any sense they'll make the ground itself an attractive place for fans to drink pre-match - which is one of the big problems with GP at the moment.

No prob - and I don't disagree. A waterfront stadium would be the dream. Unfortunately I fear that that ship sailed with KD. Land there is going to be much more expensive too - which has to be a factor.

Then we might as well stay where we are if we are going to dust down the DK project and move it to another cheap site which lacks vision and is detached form the heart of the city.

Green Party has suggested earlier last month that Stonebridge Cross should be new location for Evertons new stadium. Obviously in fear of losing park areas.

Not keen on that. It is in Gillmoss, a stone's throw away from Kirkby and Knowsley, cant actually see fromthe map where a stadium could be puit. Also as to the M/Way and the East Lancs the traffic getting on or off these routes would be horrendous.

True. I drove in down the East lancs to get to Goodison for a good few years, never knew why they didn't just set the lights to green after the match and clear the traffic. Apart from people coming out of the WHP parking, it would have been a clear run for 10 mins instead of a queue for 40.

I should also say im not keen on SC at all. I just get the feeling that the club might be...
Depends what we'd build like, but the location's got nothing for me.
Waterfront please.
Collins fields would be boss too if they build it right

I don't get the big gripe everyone has with SC, don't get me wrong its on the outskirts and would be a nightmare for me traffic wise as I only live 5 minutes away in the car, but it makes logical sense. Fair enough its out of L4 but its 10 minutes away at most in the car, big plot of land so chance to expand if needs be, redevelop the area, easy access links via motorway, east lancs, 2 major bus routes, ok no train station but they would possibly cater for a soccer bus no problem, county road will become obsolete which is a downside unfortunately. It's not my first choice but its not a bad 2nd choice

The fences were also removed due to the Taylor report. Even before Hillsbrough, plenty of near misses and a tragedy was always on the cards.

Standing is a generation ago, best we leave it as well. Safety first.

Standing in an area of rail seats is much safer than standing in seated areas which happens up and down the country every Saturday.

It's this ill informed naive opinion that the FSF are trying to change
