New Everton Stadium

I'd just say to Mr Moshiri

REMEMBER THE PARK END REVAMP.

No where near big enough.

Thus could turn into short termism quick fix thinking.

Which we have suffered from since Peter Johnson at least.

Think longer term.

That's what I'd tell him.

I'm talking about a new stadium with 55,000 capacity, including 5 - 7,000 executive seats (with the prospect of increasing that if necessary) costing in the region of £330 million and you don't think that's sufficient to meet our needs?

I'd like to see your business plan and justification for a larger stadium?

There's ambition then there's reality.
For a club that has averaged around 40k, to expect a jump to fill 60/65k is silly.
The argument that the limited views restrict numbers has credence, but when we'd pay extra for that capacity and probably not use it for most matches, it seems silly to do so.
By all means have the option and plans to expand capacity but a 55k stadium is about right as I see things.

5000 on premier league games alone is £4 million a year.

Cup games. Say around £5 to 6 million

That's potentially one or two good players a year in wages.

The difference perhaps in a league winning side or not.

I fear we build a stadium. Then find we are too constrained by it. Whilst our competitors have bigger stadia. We are left wishing we did more.

Remember. Premier league rules limit TV money wage spending increases.

Not enough ambition for me anything less than 60,000
As I thought, you've ignored the cost and just factored in the revenue - which is also a noddy number.

Go to bed Damo

Pardon the ignorance mate, but when clubs quote their stadia capacities, is that with executive seating included in the figures?
I tend to think not, and they are quoting available seating for regular fans.
If you are saying 55k and another 5-7k executive seating and he is saying 60k, you both may be saying the same thing?
If you are saying 55k total with the 5k included in that total, then disregard this.

The executive seating is included in the capacity, so a 55,000 seat stadium with 7,000 executive seats would have 48,000 standard seats.

I can see the logic in that until we are filling it. And the ability to expand "easily" is pre planned in the build.

I won't believe it's 'preplanned' until I see it.

Too many excuses for why the Parkend was half the size it should have been. Which has lost us £100's of millions in lost revenue since 1994

Criminal.
