I never knew that, that's an interesting fact. I'd love to go into the building and take a look around.
I went to the market when it was there, you could go outside and on the ground floor. When i asked why no other floors were used ,some one told me [i dont know if it was true ] but all the other floors the ceilings were only six foot high to dry the tobacco and the floors were concrete so it was not easy to make them into flats.

At 5'11", I'd love a 6ft high luxury flat. Whizzing about with my hair brushing the ceiling. Who needs all that extra space above your head, it's just wasted air.

Nothing to do with the weather as it's been mild, it's either broken or we're broke
I'm wondering if it's the spreader boat that has the issue. Not in the dock on the tracking sites & can't leave because we blocked up the exit unless we lifted it out. It was trackable a few days back.
There's nothing us Evertonians wont read far too much in to.

It was at one time the largest brick building in the world.

Still might be, dunno.
It still is - well the largest brick built warehouse. It was at one time also potentially the largest building in the world in terms of m² floor space.

Back in the late 80s and 90s, they discovered a torture chamber on one of the higher, abandoned floors, which was most likely used by local criminals.
