New Everton Stadium

Which part of the stadium is in disrepair? As far as I'm aware there are no outstanding maintenance issues.
It just looks in disrepair, HSE wouldt let us open if t were considered dangerous!

However, did anyone see the YouTube vid from a Borehamwood fan and his experience at the match? He was most surprised that "Wooden Seats" are still a thing! Was funny, he seemed a decent lad to be fair. He was also amused by the Tory chants as I think they hate em too lol!

anyway back on topic!

There's no negative to the new stadium, the support will remain whatever league it may be in.

With any new stadium project there are potential negatives aswell as positives. Stadium viability is very much dependent on the finances working and the structure of that may have now changed. As regards our support, I don't think that relegation can do it any good whatsoever in a 2 team city where the other is successful. Our support has been eroding for decades because of the disparity of success. Relegation is the last thing we need!!

It would be if it was a free stadium but it has to be paid off , and if the unthinkable happens and we don’t get back up then full houses will not be a given , season ticket prices which have been raised would surely from next season have to be re assessed for the championship as well as corporate and sponsors not going to be wanting to pay premium
rates , I personally think it will be moth balled if relegation happened .

Beat me to it Tom

Appropriate? People still seem to be quite happy to part with their hard earned to fill it every week. Similarly Rangers, Liverpool and Man Utd have had no problems in adapting their old Leitch stands to accommodate the modern era.
Talking poo aren't you?
Sixty years following the game and stadia, no Leitch influences at Old Trafford or across the park.

Leitch designed Old Trafford from scratch (1910). Their mainstand is his original. Leitch worked at Anfield before Goodison Park. Their mainstand was also his (1906). It was extended first in the early 70s and again only a few years ago to what they have now. The original is still there forming much of the bottom tier. It would seem it was 60yrs of not paying much attention.

All I'll say is that the Leitch aspects are well hidden.

Please accept my heartfelt apologies for my ignorant and uncalled for comment in my first reply.
During those sixty years I referred to, and more recently since the interweb has been around you may have expected someone to check on matters before they spout off. If I had done that, I would have seen the great man leaving his mark on a surprisingly long list of football stadia.

A quarter of the seats have obstructed views. When you pay £50+ for a seat that's just not on.
