New Everton Stadium

Big fan mate, keep up the good work. You fellas should be given some sort of recognition by the club. Guests of honour when the ground opens or some shizz. Left to the club very few of us would have very little idea how the build is developing at all.

I'm sure I'm not the only one but I genuinely cannot thank you enough. ?

He's not gonna shag you m8.

(He might though, I dunno)

I've not been in Arsenal's ground (I've heard it's soulless) but I've had a wonder around it and imo they've done a pretty good job. It's a stones throw from their old ground and the public open space around it is done well. Still close to older housing and it's original community. They've alwo done a great job of redeveloping Highbury. If we could replicate that I'd be very happy.

Not a fan of Cities ground and the area around it is a bit soulless, I think we'll do better than that though.

Our stadium will be located in the heart of the historic dock system, it'll hopefully be the catalyst for further development and will have great views across the estuary ( and it'll look great from the wirral). The docks are ingrained in the history of Liverpool so I don't see it as a detachment of our history at all. In fact I think it embraces it. I'm really looking forward to it.
Yep, I get all of that and I hope it's great. But it won't be the same. Hopefully, younger generations than me will have all of the feelings I have for GP there but I struggle to see how I, or people with a similar history to me, will. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

No for me Goodison is special because of the fans and time spent there.

Move the fans anywhere and spend enough time there, it becomes special again.

Huge opportunity to create something even better on the Front, right in town.

Couldn't be more perfect
I hope you're right mate, I really do.

Look at West Ham. They've had their wobbles since moving in to the Olympic Stadium. It was only a few seasons ago fans were scrapping with each other and they looked a mess. Now, though, it's different. They've had some big European nights and are really enjoying it.

Think of it this way. We owe the RS an absolute pasting, it's been years in the making. Imagine how it would be if we move into our new stadium and smash them 4 or 5 nil. That's what makes a stadium , those big games and big results.

At first it will feel strange, people will say its nice and all but it's just not GP because it doesn't have the history of those big games, just look at the Chelsea game and the atmosphere generated. Those games will come again, they'll come at BMD and we'll all be going home with those memories and your affection for the new stadium will start to grow.

Have you been to the Olympic stadium? It is a dreadful place to watch football. They may have success there but it's no Upton Park. BMD will be much better, of course, as it is a purpose built football stadium.

Watched athletics there and it served its purpose. Definitely wouldn't want it as our new home though.

I'm obviously bias but I think the location of BMD will be up there with the best grounds in the UK.

20 min minimum walk to town if you're relatively fit, no closer to Merseyrail than GP, no current bus routes. It's a great location aesthetically but let's not pretend it's a connected stadium. We need to do much more on that side of things.

I know what you mean. The shape of it and the previous life as an Olympic stadium hampers the experience. What I mean is that we will have new memories to make in our new stadium. It's purpose built for football so West Ham or Man City's stadium probably aren't good comparisons. Spurs' new stadium is probably a better example or Arsenal.

Merseyrail Northern Line is 450metres away - Surely the powers at be can fit a match day station close by. Otherwise Sandhills is less than 1 Kilometre, not to far. And I think I've posted on here before, they should build a jetty again for matchdays and tourism.

there will be bus routes moved to BMD as the ones to GP wont be needed i dont think transport will be an issue
