New Everton Stadium

Any weight to the rumour that Meis has designed in a hydraulic table that sits underneath the pitch so it can be subtly and sneakily tilted towards the goal that Everton are shooting at?

I heard it can rise to a gradient of up to and including 5%, so Everton are effectively playing downhill every home game and opponents LITERALLY face an uphill task playing against us.

We'll obviously get found out when playing away from home but such a home advantage should safeguard us against relegation each and every season.

Although knowing Everton, it'll malfunction and get stuck at a weird angle, rendering our pitch almost unplayable with any degree of skill, meaning all our home games come down to sheer luck every time.

Now I’m picturing it with retractable spikes like in the fight between Flash Gordon and Prince Barin

A very low dosage of odourless gas should be released in to the away dressing room for 10 minutes before the start of each game, continuing until a few minutes before half time so our opponents get a mild case of gas poisoning. Not enough to arouse suspicion of deliberate foul play, but enough to dull the senses and physical robustness of the opposition. Combine that with the sloping pitch scam and we're laughin'.

There have been three versions of the 52,888 stadium.

1) The original (with multi-storey car park next to the river)
2) The second after the wind study which incorporated the car park into the building and had the protected access under the car park. This impacted the symmetry of the stadium and the brick component to the west was bigger than the east.
3) The final version, removed the car park again, protected the riverside pedestrians from the wind with the staircase, and re-instated the symmetrical nature of the brick component.

The final version was a big improvement on the second version.
has anyone by any chance got the original design of the stadium alongside the new version of the design, trying to see what the difference is, i know externally its the steps, was there anything else on the exterior and interior ?

I think Gardocki might have misunderstood, the original version (footprint shown on a recent page 5406) dated April 2018 when Meis came over to St Lukes, was for around 60,000. For the 52,888 the footprint had changed slightly but the height comparisons to existing stadia certainly changed as it's lower and as shown in the photos there are no triple tier.

Just like Anfield then…..

You'd think so. I don't understand how acoustics work but they have done a lot of work to ensure the atmosphere generated is maximised by the design.

Time will tell if they've got it right.
I'm no expert myself, I would personally expect that the further away it is from fans the worse it is.

So it could be two things.
The first, they are right, or it could be that they've made a comprimise,
eg, it's large transparent panels to let more light in, or another green reason, or something else maybe, I don't know?
I personally reckon it's a compromise

Maybe it is, but it's a weird science. Internal shapes, baffles etc to channel noice.

It's like if your under the dome at St Pauls you can hear something spoken in a very low voice on the opposite side. Daft comparison I know.

@Jacko93 knows a bit more a out what was done with the design for acoustics.
