New Everton Stadium

Might the owners of the Echo Arena lodge a complaint about us having a stadium so close by? I expect we'd be looking to take some of the large events away from them.
That's only like 12k capacity though so it would be a completely different type of stadium, anyone looking to rent out ours would be wanting to hold a much bigger event.

Whats the state of play with the North docks at the moment, has all peels plans stalled or are they going through?

Would Peel potentially be interested in having a stadium as part of their plans to getting their plans through the door?

I don't think the club would be stupid enough to do another kirkby on is, "do you want to move here or not" type ballot with Stonebridge cross. I am hoping they are working on a number of sites and present options of where to go if we end up moving.

Things need to move with this now, 3 stadium move failures is getting a bit of a joke, need to figure out what we are doing and move forward - fingers crossed Moshiri can push these things on now.

Elstones use of the word "straightforward" in the statement is the thing that concerns me, and makes me think the club are also thinking about the easier option of stonebrige cross, hopefully not!

LCC should support an Everton bid for Trafalgar Dock because for a major city, Liverpool city centre is tiny and a major stadium with all the related bells and whistles that go with it would genuinely extend the city centre north wards and add some much-needed variety to break away from the monotony of student flats, car showrooms and dock warehouses.

It would a great deal to revitalise that northern area extending even to Seaforth and Bootle.

JA comes out with a statement we could be in a stadium in 3 years, so what does he know that we don't.

1) Thinking of that Stonecross place to use council land.

2) Is he thinking of north docks area not as likely as the other.

3) Are LCC thinking of putting a bid for the games to be staged in Liverpool and start building a stadium for us to take over, unlikely IMO. Plus where would LCC put a games stadium - Stonecross?

.....I think we need to be patient and trust that the new owner has his team working on this. It's a new regime with the impetus to make things happen.

As has been said if The Mosh and his advisors have anything about them then the waterfront site is the only way to go. Proximity to the centre and travel hub infrastructure, the aurora from the floodlights will be seen from across the Mersey (itself an advertisement for the club), people arriving by air at JLP and, indeed, MIA (as planes often swing in from the west and travel along the Mersey corridor onto Manchester) getting first glimpse of the stadium which would be fairly easily recognisable given the surrounding area and, most importantly (according to the architectural plans) room to expand upwards and outwards in the same way as Old Trafford. It seems a no brainer but no doubt the RS will throw up some objection.

Btw, had the dubious pleasure of sitting next to two of them (RS) on the train into work (in Manchester). They were on the way to Zurich and the conversation, given these were two guys in their mid-30's with families, went along the lines of....'are you getting a programme...buying a match badge?', '...was reading my King Kenny annual from 1982 last night', 'Q. Did you bring your banner? A. Which one?' You couldn't make it up.
