New Everton Stadium

All I can say on this topic, and I make any statements pertaining to the stadium as an international supporter who really shouldn't have a say, is that if we MUST regrettably leave Goodison as any redevelopment can't or won't happen, only a beautiful iconic stadium by the beautiful Mersey will ease the broken heart and allow me to fall in love with our new stadium.

Reading about Croxteth? I can't see myself warming to any move out there.

It may involve a pound shop complex being built on Croxteth Country Park. The naming rights will facilitate our financial input.

Yeah I think so. I was trying to think what it was for ages

Is it just me that reckons stuff has been grinding away in the background for ages before he actually bought the club?

It kind of stacks up.

Explains the drawn out non WHP saga.

Explains why it seems to of all happened rather quickly If anything actually has mind!

Almost like he said to Bill, "Look, I need to be sure I can get the ground I want, so let me work on that on the quiet, and then we can see whats what"

Or I should start writing short stories.

As long as they're tales of the riverbank.

Whilst location is one of the most important criteria for fans, for the club it's the finances that matter most.

The extra income generated must be greater than the cost of financing, after all we must improve our matchday revenues.

It's going to be fascinating to look at the cost, how it is financed and the expected revenues in the future.

Yeah but if you can't access it easily, then you are going to be put off going. Maybe not diehard supporters but the casual supporter will be. Moving further away from the city centre in my opinion is a very poor choice. Just while we are on this subject does anyone know why we can't just build on the Stanley Park site?

Totally agree on location. Docks my choice for sure.

Tw

Yep that's the info I've heard all along. SC solves a council problem. Docks will be good for everyone but much harder and more expensive to pull off
Thanks for the like btw mate .

Just got off the phone from the guy that gave me the info.
"Dont believe all you read in the Echo especially what Anderson is saying"
Of the 6 sites looked at 3 were never "considered" by Everton one of them is Croxteth Sbc.
Council offered the site for virtually nothing , all of a sudden Anderson is talking as a Landsale .
Now it will be a stand alone Stadium council are more than interested in Everton taking on Croxteth as they could not get any partners on board before.
He reckons theres 2 sites on the docks but cannot get the info as to which docks. And he's unsure how advanced they are
