New Everton Stadium

Forgive me if already asked... What are the transport links like out to Stonebridge cross?
How long would it take in a taxi/Bus from city centre??

Hopefully it's on the Docks.... Out of towners like myself would love that as would most fans is imagine .
Good for cars from the motorway but gets gridlocked for match traffic into liverpool on the east lancs rd which is the major road to it.
nothing really pub wise, no train station nearby, by taxi from city centre about twice the cost, and not as easy to pick up one on the way back.
Plus pionts could be lots of land available, and a bus station nearby.

I think that is actually a key point, more and more the premier league is the subject of "tourist supporters", people who come from all over the world to take in a match.
Whilst walking around the middle of Liverpool One over the last season I must have been asked about a dozen times
" excuse me, can you tell me how to get to the football stadium?"
I think it would be a massive selling point for the city if we had a big stadium, close to the city centre
Think thered be a massive difference in Stadium Naming rights & Sponsors etc.

Whilst location is one of the most important criteria for fans, for the club it's the finances that matter most.

The extra income generated must be greater than the cost of financing, after all we must improve our matchday revenues.

It's going to be fascinating to look at the cost, how it is financed and the expected revenues in the future.

What possibilities and positives can educated mind see in Stonebridge Cross site (if it would be it) ...just interested to know.

Looks an utter nightmare, imagine the East Lancs on a matchday, Jesus Christ.

In my eyes cost should not come into it.
Location location location.

No point going somewhere which be cheaper if it's not suitable.

This is going to be our home for the next 100 years.

Interesting words from Peel that they are unable to talk about it yet. To me that suggests negotiations are in full swing .

This stadium on a waterfront is going to cost millions, how much are we talking , 150 million

Moshiri can't afford this alone or our tv money going to contribute or do we have a second investor coming in?

Because the Mayor has just made a massive deal out of publicly saying 'no more building on green park space'. It's one of the main reasons WHP wasn't going to happen because of all the protests against it.

Times have changed since LFC first got planning permission for there, that was 16 years ago.
Could you not appeal it over the councils heads. Given they've previously given the go ahead they would be on shakey ground?
