The most beautiful picture yet..and there has been a few. It's even got blue in the skyline. Classic. Think about what it will look like when it's completed. The Eight Wonder!

You have no evidence it is popular and I have no evidence it isn't.So are you saying that the Leitch design isn’t a “popular signature”? As in people won’t want it incorporated?
If so, what is your evidence for this? Apart from your own personal dislike of its use?
I cant believe people are moaning about people moaning FFSChrist some people will find anything to moan about
I think the traditional/futuristic fuse was of necessity for the sake of getting past UNESCO etc. And the traditional was to do with fitting into the dockside warehouse type of setting rather than any tip of the hit to Leitch. My take fwiw, is what I posted years ago, (it seems) when the design was first shown. It is futuristic, but Meis has completed the trick to make it so, but also looking like it has been there for ages. If that includes a nod to our past, with a few bricks, *shrugs*. No one will notice them after a few months anyrate.
Stop moaning!!!!! ?I cant believe people are moaning about people moaning FFS
I don’t like the design tbh. I don’t like the roof. The stadium itself is fine, I love the brickwork, I love the patterns and what we are doing with the pump house, but I really dislike the roof as it will look dated within 10 years.…….
Well, as you’re (as far as I can tell), practically the only person on here who is being negative about it, and I have seen no-one else on any other forum or fan site bitching about it, then I feel safe in my statement that the majority of people would be happy with it or, at worst, neutral about it.You have no evidence it is popular and I have no evidence it isn't.
But if that design had been left off this stadium I think we can all pretty much agree that no one would give a flying one.
I agree with your postTodays futuristic is tomorrows bland embarrassment.
We need a classic iconic stadium with heritage, that stands the rest of time.
I have a feeling, if it had been left out, there would be at least 1 person complaining about it.You have no evidence it is popular and I have no evidence it isn't.

Get a poll going DaveYou have no evidence it is popular and I have no evidence it isn't.
