New Everton Stadium

Good grief
Guilty by association
...all the things they have been guilty of, and its us that should be ashamed???

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahah

I'll give it some thought when I'm cheering the blues on in the best stadium in the land.
Mad isn't it. It's like, if you bought/leased a pub in York or the East End (or wherever), where some Victorian murderer had committed his/her crimes. Sure you might want to change the name of the pub, put a plaque up, or have a little display internally, but guilty by association?!?! Some people.

Poor old Scotland Road.

As Bishop Williams says, the old place might be resurrected yet by our new ground.

Was driving down there the other day and thought that some of the old pubs might get a bit more footfall when our site opens. Still a bit if a trek from there though. I can't see it myself unfortunately.

Couple of minutes walk up Boundary Street?

I'd imagine many / most would be making that journey.

On the ferry just now. Those supports on the North Stand are really starting to give the whole thing an outline shape.

A few perhaps? But would it be enough?Obviously I haven't done a survey or anything. And I appreciate we have a high % of fans walking to the game. But there's no transport hub that way and I'd imagine most would either park closer the ground or walk/taxi from town or Sandhills?

The Northen Line to the game will be jammed and there'll be shuttle bus service into town. I'd expect a lot of walk ups to the stadium though.

The area of Scotland Road / Vauxhall cant help but be reinvigorated. What would Walton be without Everton? We're about to find that out, I suppose.

…its an interesting discussion & a subject undoubtedly covered in the stadium business case (I recall much being made of the stadium usage for the community outside matchdays) but we are talking about one or two games per fortnight & for only a part of the year.

Some pubs in Walton have struggled despite Goodison being on their doorstep.
