Rather than try and cover it up we should fully embrace it. The north stand should become The ‘Carbuncle’ endJust knocking about ideas for the screening of the new stadium from that ghastly carbuncle next door.
The club states that there'll be trees planted on the site so maybe an attempt at making an avenue effect will take place on that northern perimeter.
It'd be nice to think Peel have a clause with UU whereby they can dictate borders between theirs and adjoining sites. We need some space over behind that stand, no question IMO.
I suppose we could install a few wind turbines to block the treatment works Dave. We could even paint them blue and white with a Leitch criss cross design.I disagree. It's something we need to fight to get some definition from.
It's the one part of that location that is an issue.
The less we see of it the better.
That looks like Bootle Sports Center. No wonder their heads are starting to spin watching our fourth grace go up.You can see here how LFC will have Anfield's border with Stanley Park tree lined after their new stand is moved into place:
I dont know if there's enough room for that at our site on that northern side....or even whether it'd be appropriate (it works for Anfield because of the park setting and ours is more riverside environment) My point is that LFC will be restricted to how much of the park it can encroach on as we have been on our site.

Hmm! You have more faith about this happening Dave than most, I reckon. You can see here how LFC will have Anfield's border with Stanley Park tree lined after their new stand is moved into place:

They'll have to have some boundary for security purposes.
The trees are more on the concourse.View attachment 189359
Looks like there will be some trees at the far end. Elsewhere there seems to be a small wall. Doesn't look too bad to me. If they don't use it on matchday then the smell should not be a problem.
