New Everton Stadium

not even proper brick ffs,
No, but pretty neat how they all just slot into place. I wonder what they use as 'cement' and how will it weather over the next 50/100 years?

Superb to see this start. It’s taken me by surprise, with all the focus on the roof trusses. I thought it’d be a good while yet before we saw the final facade go up.

Back again. Not much to see from outside today.
Can't get pics through the usual gates as there are 20 or so scissor lifts been delivered there. Guess is they're going to start the cladding work on Soith Stand in next few days as they all seem to be focused around that area that's had the tarmac laid.
I had my suspicions.

I love brick buildings! Ok, this isn't the traditional way of building by brick. But, it appears to be authentic brick material, pre-built by modern methods. A lot of high-rise buildings are now being built using pre-assembled brick sections.

Brick buildings get better with age and will last for a long time. Other popular building materials such as concrete, metal cladding etc. may look ok at first, but age badly, and look awful after a few years.
