New Everton Stadium

conspiracy.jpg

We pay the money, we commit to plans and we will go through with it.

LFC have nothing to do with a decision for EFC to get a riverside Stadium.

Dunno but they wont be happy of the thought of us being there. They will make everything they can to stop that happening

I don't know that they could stop it happening, but I can tell you what I could see happening.

We get this lovely, brand spanking new stadium by the river.

It knocks The Pit into a cocked hat, redevelopment notwithstanding.

And they get jealous and sulk for a few years.

Then the city is awarded the Commonwealth Games and a new state of the art stadium is built to house it.

And after it is over they are given the keys to it and they can sell off Anfield and be ripe for a City level takeover.

Apologies for the source, but this is from

Clarence Graving Dock on Regent Road, Liverpool. A possible site for Everton Football club stadium.

These pictures show the vast waterfront site which could be Everton FC -€™s new home.

The images give an idea of the scale of the location on the banks of the Mersey which is believed to be one of those under consideration for the club-€™s new stadium.

The proposal revives the popular memories of the King-€™s Dock plans for a new ground for the Blues which fell through over a decade ago.

Proposals for a stadium and -€œvillage-€ in Walton Hall Park were abandoned this week.

The club and council are now looking at two city centre brownfield sites .

These are understood to be Stonebridge Cross, off the East Lancs Road in Croxteth and dockland north of Liverpool-€™s city centre, owned by developers Peel.

Peel have said they are -€œnot in a position to say anything at the moment-€ .

In 2004 Peter Stoney, a University of Liverpool academic and lecturer, called for Everton to have a new stadium built on a brownfield site within the Central Docks system.

At the time this was part of plans being talked about for a ground shared with Liverpool -€“ a move so unpopular with fans of both clubs it never gained any real traction.

However, this week has also seen Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson saying he is confident Everton has the finances for a stadium and that it could be done in three years .

The Mayor also said he believes a new stadium for the club could be a boost to the ambitions to bring the Commonwealth Games to Liverpool in 2026.

I really hope the docks site comes off. A hotel next to it in the shape of a big Ruperts Tower would look good and bring in more money

Always had a mind's eye picture of PRT in the corner of the new stadium (Wherever it may be).

(As though you was looking from) the inside, looking a bit like them stanchions that hold the roof up in the san siro, only the entire height of all two/three tiers. i.e. taking up the entire corner.

From the outside, a giant PRT in one corner.

Well...It looks superb in my mind anyway. :)
