I would 'like' this, but I can't, because it's a horrible thought.
Need to get yourself to Specsavers fella !
Appears you are very short sighted.
....I don't think the Commonwealth Games are athletics specific, they include a myriad of sports similar to the Olympics. I dare say a new stadium would be very useful.
I wouldn't be so sure that it was LCC who took it off the table. In all interviews he's been keen to state that it was a joint decision. I think it may well be a case of 'We can do better thanks' and we have the opportunity to build in a position that doesn't mean jumping through hoops to satisfy the red tape that greenbelt land brings. WHP was only offered to us as it suited LCC and gave them an option to revitalise an area. The game has changed.
Its also mentioned in the most current interview, that we no longer need retail partners, so a large part of what LCC were hoping to deliver as a package can be binned and our attentions turned on our own needs.
Thanks for the like btw mate .
Just got off the phone from the guy that gave me the info.
"Dont believe all you read in the Echo especially what Anderson is saying"
Of the 6 sites looked at 3 were never "considered" by Everton one of them is Croxteth Sbc.
Council offered the site for virtually nothing , all of a sudden Anderson is talking as a Landsale .
Now it will be a stand alone Stadium council are more than interested in Everton taking on Croxteth as they could not get any partners on board before.
He reckons theres 2 sites on the docks but cannot get the info as to which docks. And he's unsure how advanced they are
Don't think you have to put the names of any unborn children on the list quite yet. When do they reckon we will find out more about the new possible stadium in years or a few months ?
Still need an athletics track and J A mentioned bringing European athletes so that implies an athletics track around the pitch which would be a disaster.
Hope Morsh tells him to do one if he insists
....but it might also mean a separate athletics stadium, I can't see our ground having a running track.

Really hope not
Remember WHU got the Olympic stadium but have to retain the athletics track

Not knowing the area around the docks, I had assumed that there would have been loads of warehousing and offices etc which would need demolishing before the site could be prepared.
Going off that picture, it looks as if the first 'spade in the ground' could happen as soon as a decision is made.
