New Everton Stadium

Nope. Filling the ground with tourists every week goes against everything that makes Everton what it is.

You can be successful without losing that. At least I hope you can.

Otherwise we might as well follow them.
You'd better hope that we achieve any success then mate, as success brings with it glory hunters and football tourists.

That's how it works in the modern PL era.

Its not about filling the ground with tourists - its a global game - there has to be a balance - its about exploiting what that has to offer for the greater good of the whole club in terms of growing a global fan base, getting them buying into the club ethos and buying the merchandise etc...

if it adds another 5000 to the crowd each home game then great - exploit it. It doesn't mean it has to effect anything to do with the local support or those that travel from around the country as it stands.

Local club for local people is a little bit too Royston Vaisey as well as short sighted in big picture sort of perspective.

TBH if we want 50-60000 then we will need tourists/students etc to help fill it. Don't want 5-10000 empty seats

Forget Croxteth, the north docks would be fantastic, a showpiece stadium near the river front putting us where we used to be, the top club on Merseyside.

Oh believe me you are preaching to the converted. I'm firmly in the 'banks of the royal blue Mersey' team.
I just wondered what the views were of somebody who will be having it built practically in his back yard.

Tbf I kind of agree with what they where saying on the echo podcast, build a world class 45000 capacity stadium but make it expandable that way you future proof it and ensure you can fill it week in week out. If things go how we want them to go we add a tier one stand at a time.

As much as it would be a 5 minute walk for me to stonecross croxteth for me a stadium at the waterfront is a must not just to be on the iconic waterfront but it would be on every picture for years to come and would wind up the rs but the revenue it will bring from conferences, tours, sporting events would only benefit us. The only downside is the roads getting there would be chocker
