It's a scandal that 'journal' has been allowing the Kopite scum Hughes to dictate to them the history of that dock as if it reflects on Everton. The whole of Liverpool is a slave trade disaster zone...but that wouldn't fit the agenda.

I'd urge anyone who has a subscription with that rag to ditch it and tell them why.

I saw that on the Twitter account, and loads of responses along the lines of “So predictable, stadium news after a bad loss last night”.

As if the roof trusses weren’t due for another 6 months, but they’ve just brought it forward to today just to appease the fans.

Of they could have been lifted early September but they held them back incase of a bad run.

yeah the guy himself denied involvement in the slave trade but some Doris 150 years later manages to find a tenuous link. Our whole country 'benefitted from thew slave trade'.

Yeah I got the point regarding the history but they are literally using slaves now and torturing / killing people.

Very good but it was the Mersey many centuries before that.
