Does anytbody know what type of material is going into the gaps? I know originally it was perforated metal to match the latticework but read that had been dropped.

One reason might be "right of light" incursions for the adjacent business property if that end was extended to its full depth... Another might be external circulation at that end, as I'm not sure if the boundary has been extended temporarily for construction access only.
It could be symptomatic of Dan Meis' origins. American stadium designers are often less concerned with our traditional football stadium layout. Look at Wembley with the screens carving out huge sections in the end stands.... areas that would normally be hugely popular with the most vociferous section of the fanbases. End zone stands at American football are often much smaller or reduced height affairs, as their game's dynamic and culture is so different.... and they do sometimes seem to like a portal window looking onto downtown landscapes, but that hardly applies in this case.
In the Construction Management Plan it just says: "Spaces between brick piers will be infilled with perforated metal rainscreen panels".Does anytbody know what type of material is going into the gaps? I know originally it was perforated metal to match the latticework but read that had been dropped.
Gonna take someone a while to go round with a paint brush, touching up the pattern brick by brick.

Maybe it shows more in the rain or sun?It must be very very faint.
I've seen no photo of that brickwork yet that you can discern criss crosses.
That photo I took from the video provided is in the direct sunlight and there's nothing to be seen.Maybe it shows more in the rain or sun?
I dunno, but currently it seems as tho somebody wasted a lot of time with brickwork for no benefit.
I'm sure i remember in possibly a Mr Drone vid many months ago that the drone guys were offered parking where the workers park. Why not just park & fly from there? Im sure when offering they probably expected them to fly from there too & they would be closer to the back of the West stand which seems to be an issue in poorer weather conditions.Good video. I'm not sure why, but I got the feeling he may not have been too happy with the bloke at the Canoe Club
You think some minimal diagonal lines is tacky but that looks good?Re the brickwork: look at what Villa will be doing in terms of a pattern - the club's badge. Our East Stand could have done that with our badge and made that a fitting statement of who we are and where we come from.

The badge is the badge. Even allowing for the odd tweak of it. It'll be around for as long as Everton is.You think some minimal diagonal lines is tacky but that looks good?
I think the Leitch pattern is cool, minimalist and will be noticed by those who know, and not by those who dont. I dont see the need in putting whatever the current badge is into the design and immediately aging the stadium if/when it happens to change again.
My assumption is the drop in that stand was due to Meiss wanting “the biggest screen in Europe” during his talk at St Luke’s which obviously got shut down.
