New Everton Stadium

Well what's the recent experience of flooding down the docks?

The last reported case was 2012:

It's not a huge problem as flooding is not a huge issue further upstream on the Mersey.

I'm shore Peel already would be considering a flood risk mitigation plan. No doubt we would also. However comparitively the Mersey is fairly low risk.

River Mersey floods after
high tide and strong winds

A COMBINATION of high tides and strong winds caused waves to come crashing over the promenade in several places along the River Mersey waterfront today.

Cars suddenly began to be submerged when water came flooding into the Burbo Bank car park overlooking Antony Gormley’s Iron Men statues at Crosby.

And at Liverpool Pier Head, the high tides also rose above the top of the promenade and caused water to flood into pedestrian areas.

Take the atmosphere ( the good one) to the new modern stadium. But other than a few blue crosses what else can you take that isn't old fashioned garbage? the corrigated sheets? wooden seats? pillars? the 4" extractor fan from the ladies bogs in the bullens?

The things we consider historic and beautiful to us every other football fan votes the worst in the country.

I want opposing fans to be jealous of our ground.

You seem to be missing the point massively, nobody wants any of what you've mentioned above, nor do they want things that would detract from the quality of the stadium.

It's the little things that count, a littlewoods clock next to the inevitable big screen, the new modern led advertising boards having the criss cross once in a blue moon, a large ruperts tower in the glass work by reception.

Little things that don't reduce the quality of the stadium but act as a little nod to our home for over 100 years.

Initial frenzy of the sites has died down - felt like it was all go to try and gain some sort of public insight to the moves.

Seen some random comments in twitter last night they where going to go to a vote on it. Surely the club will realise it won't even be close.

Hopefully there is lots going on behind the scenes now, EFC seems more like a closed shop then ever (which isn't a bad thing)

While it's frustrating waiting to hear news on the stadium and manager, it's absolutely right that these things should be done in private without leaks to the media and public every 2 minutes. Let's just hope Moshiri is getting things done, as we are expecting.

what so everyone can go ' argh ' when the crosses appear after the Puka Pie advert?

I also reckon the club could make a few bob selling off some of the original brickwork from the Glwadys Street and Bullens - I can just imagine Bill stood on the corner of Goodison Road...'C'mon ladies, get yer genuine Everton brick. Only 50p a pop. Tell yer what, take these three for a quid and I'll throw in a tile from a splashback in the Street End bogs. Bring a tear to yer arl fella's eyes when he remembers the pints he used to pee up the wall....'
