By them learning its history the place becomes more special for them. Continuity and a nod to the past would be important features of any new stadium in my eyes.

You can't ditch our history in particular,it mirrors the history of football from it's roots in this country.

Any new stadium will have naming rights so could be anyone's stadium if you took a quick look. Take the fight scene in the creed film for instance - even if you only had a passing interest in English football you would almost certainly know that was GP.

Theres nowt wrong with a nod to the past.

Even west ham will take bigotry with them to the new stadium
 
Take the atmosphere ( the good one) to the new modern stadium. But other than a few blue crosses what else can you take that isn't old fashioned garbage? the corrigated sheets? wooden seats? pillars? the 4" extractor fan from the ladies bogs in the bullens?

The things we consider historic and beautiful to us every other football fan votes the worst in the country.

I want opposing fans to be jealous of our ground.
 

We need to take some of Goodison Park with us and incorporate it into the new stadium. GP has character, it has history, so if we know our history then we should take some of GP with us. We don't need massive pieces of the place, just enough here and there......it will promote our rich history and the next generations of fans will appreciate the subtle way the new stadium has incorporated our historical past.
