New Everton Stadium

Ha ha this thread is like when you know your christmas presents are hidden in a wardrobe somewhere in your house as a kid.

Haha - aptly put! I love it,

I also think this is FAR more exciting than all the current manager hoo-haa - usually about overseas mercenaries we're evaluating with fag-packet wiki pedia stats, who we'd never mentioned so much as 4 months ago.

THIS IS EVERTON'S REAL FUTURE. This is where we'll see lads and ladies rise through academies to first team in front of 50-60k supporters - in a state of the art complex boasting year round activities that will be part of it's use. Unbelievable. The future is not a foreign manager. The future is our stadium, our youth and our hordes of fans making us the envy of the WORLD's top talent.

PLEASE PLEASE LIVERPOOL COUNCIL AND EVERTON MAKE THIS IS WORLD BEATING INNOVATION AND WATCH US FILL IT UP!

The future is securing a manager that keeps us in the Top flight while the New Stadium is identified , funded & built.

I'd like to say yes but I was refering if we kept Martinez on we would be real candidates for the drop.

Moshiri has seen this and acted accordingly by appointing Koeman (hopefully)

Hopefully we can push on now while the Stadium business is sorted out.
If Moshiri can pull off a riverside home for us, I'll cry with joy.

It always felt like the impossible dream, but now it feels as if we could actually make it happen.

Brilliant article, that.
I followed a link on that Telegraph article and found this quite intersting piece on all the other teams thatve moved to new grounds. Apologies if it's already been posted in the previous 635 pages.

Nice one.

Splitting the list into two is interesting, too:

A) Prem / champ and. B) leagues 1 and lower.

With respect to aspiring clubs in B) with vision, it's more relevant for Everton to compare those group A). Those who invested are uniformly stronger financially and in league position (bar arsenal with their wages cap and ' let's play like Barcelona ' mentality, they don't), and Bolton who spent money way beyond their means via their tax evading benefactor.

City, spurs, stoke, west ham, Southampton, Swansea, boro, and a host who've yo-yo 'd are better off.

A Stadium can only be good news. In this period of financial outlay, perhaps Koeman who's managed both a changing squad, added value to it and maintained league position is a safe pair of hands.

I could live with making £70m on Lukaku and stones for where that money can help off the pitch and in youth.

What would be the Top 5 obstacles to overcome for Everton FC to take ownership of and develop the Docklands site. Then the top five benefits for the city- compared with other sites. These are the things the people who make these things happen would consider.
