New Everton Stadium

Just as an aside I live in a Peel apartment block on Salford Quays and from my perspective they are excellent at what they do from the creation of a development to its on going management and maintenance
And as someone who lived not far from the Quays, or Salford Docks as it was, the change between back then and now is quite staggering... as kids, the idea of there ever being actual live fish and being able to swim in the docks was nowt but unthinkable.

Yep
There is a complete weekly swimming in the quays event every weekend
It's clean in them there quays but hell you wouldn't get me in there without a wetsuit and a harpoon gun

Apartments are just a posh word for a flat. Is it a flat like Mandela house or an apartment like LA ?

Its a flat isn't it mate :bye:

Only joking of course, what is the quality of these flats that you reside in ? Are they a half-ar*ed job type of company or is their work all top quality ? I only ask because it would be a shame to have a state of the art stadium surrounded by generic, poor quality lack of care flats, office space etc etc...

Edit: Sorry mate you already answered in the original reply :drunk:

Haha
My apartment is pretty cool tbh and yes the quality is good way too good to be a flat

A flat becomes an apartment when it has a Bidet installed or ice dispenser in the fridge-freezer lol
Again Joking aside, I think Everton and Peel have the opportunity of a lifetime, no expenses spared type of project, it could transform how not only Liverpool but the rest of the UK see the potential of Peel holdings the company and Everton as a football club.

Too far from the pitch mate, I want something resembling a bear pit. Right on top of the action, no easy games at Goodison ;)
Aren't they Uefa and FA rules regarding a certain distance for modern Stadia.hence why you new stadiums like Etihad Wembley and Emirates being far from the pitch, also rules on degree angles of the stands as well so they don't slope down to much.

United and the RS have modernised their stands the last 15 years and yet they are still close to the pitch because they are in the same stadiums so the regulations don't count.

Fair point I hadn't taken into consideration, I hate the top balcony for the steep stairs, so the angles should be taken into account In the new build :)
Can anybody confirm the rest of the rules mentioned ? Be interesting to see how far back we have to be, of course if we are pushed back from the pitch then steep stands would be the counter measure to make you feel 'on top of the action' so to speak ?

Seat 96 in every stand every row numbered like this please, as an important gesture to some nobs in every fanbase including ours unfortunately that some things matter more than football
One seat each row, each stand

Will the same apply to number 39?

I think Heysel is more to do with Liverpool vs Juventus, even though it played a massive part in the beginning of our downfall.
Hillsborough is something closer to home. Im not saying Hillsborough is more or less important than 39 lives at Heysel, but I don't think having the 39 seats would matter to Juventus if im honest.

The 96 seat idea would be a nice touch IMO.

Was it to be one of the air conditioned stadiums???

The original roof design of the lusail stadium created a flow of air that acted like a cushion. Basically created a cooling effect, that alongside the cooling capacity of the ground at pitch level would lead to a pitch side temperature of about 50% that of the outside temperature. The make-up of the roof was that deep to create the airflow needed that there was actually rooms placed within the roof. Lusail is on a whole different scale to anything else I have ever seen. The design has changed massively over the months, but at one point if you walked from the furthest ticket entrance to the seat furthest away, it was just shy of 1.5km.

The Bordeaux one is the winner for me, without a doubt. The boxy, minimalist design would fit so well on the waterfront. Perhaps a full glass facade over those poles, as I'm sure the climate in S France is rather more agreeable than Merseyside.
