New Everton Stadium

I think the stadium will look absolutely fantastic and enhance the waterfront when finished..............................but I cannot summon up any enthusiasm for it given the state of the club and the team.

New stadium bulilds acversely affected Arsenal , Spurs , Southampton and Sunderland's ability to invest in the team.

It is even worse at Everton with a dysfunctional board and owner who appears desperate to sell.

But yeah the stadium will be lovely.
I'd like to hear the business case for the stadium as like the pitch it doesn't add up for me.

I'm still 100% behind it but never really understood how the numbers added up.

CA Forum Discussion
Very precisly mate....there was a 3x2 piece of wood laying on floor on the overhead image.

I simply laid them out from corner to centre flag.

Of course I'm not 100% how long the 3x2 piece of timber was ...could have been 3.6m or 4.8m or could have been a cut off.

So I also seen a Millwauke drill case and I have one them so it was 11 Millwauke drill cases to every 3x2 piece of timber.

Maths did the rest and hey presto.

Too small.
Just when I thought the CA forum had made you out to be a massive whopper, you go and outdo yourself. Measuring with photographed planks of wood😂

i’m exactly the same any excitement has been drained out of this for me ,

Anyone seen the pics of the pump house?

It's massive inside and I'm so happy it's being turned into a restaurant bar area instead of a place for the Everton relics, leave that for inside the shop / museum.

Is it defo being turned in to a restaurant & bar? It does look like a decent size I'm liking the outside steps (worth more of a look) leading up to
the upper level, I reckon that would be a restaurant.

Anyway for a bar something like the Albert Dock Pumphouse will be a winner.

If it is then they must have edited the original planning permission as it was restricted in use to historic/commemorative use only. I dont believe they have put in kitchen extraction vents (yet) either so while it is possible I suspect a lot of extra work is needed which could impact the exterior.

I share your view, but the hope I have is that a new stadium built and delivered makes the Club instantly more attractive to buy.

Hopefully Farhad builds it, then sells the Club to let the next set of owners invest in the football team.

Yes as it will be an all year round place to go.

There's going to be a lot of people living round there (tobacco warehouse) and other investments.

I think a lot of people need a polite reminder it's not a St Luke's.

What?

Do you seriously think that would be an issue? The first phase was making sure it stops falling apart and having trees growing inside it.
