New Everton Stadium

Exactly. It is utterly delusional to believe that LCC would in any way consider demolishing the ACC complex as it's major asset and relatively new.

Regardless of Moshiri having money or being determined to increase our profile, something are close to impossible due to their feasibility.

So, if we're talking about a waterside arena then we're either talking north or south from the CBD - in or around it simply won't happen.

For me that would signal either the area around Riverside Drive (the ol' Pleasure Island complex) which is a large area ready for investment.

Further North, then it's Peel owned land from Clarence Dock/Trafalgar Dock up to the Wellington Dock. Beyond that again is unlikely.

The KD is a potential difficulty in the area. There's no chance of them just knocking a good stadium down and there will be opposition to having 2 stadiums.

Our proposal will need to show they are used for fundamentally different things. That and the scale of the new ground gives the centre something new and ultimately ties in nicely with the plans for Liverpool Waters.

Been nosing at existing retractable-roof stadia online. This is the AT & T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. This is the kind of retractable-roof stadium I'd fancy. Nice interior color scheme to it as well! The exterior would of course be branded and be blue.

I like the idea of the suspended "Cube" Display/TV system over the centre of the pitch, although a lot smaller than the one featured.

According to Wikipedia it holds 80,000 plus. Maybe 60,000 is the right number for EFC ATM, but the designers could always factor in space for additional seating for when Everton start an unprecedented period of sustained success....

Anyone gathered any intel on the cost and design of the new ground proposals?

I just noted that this entry was the 10K reply to this thread. How time fly's.

The dock site suggested was clarence dock which appears to be the only piece of land large enough to hold a stadium. I wonder if there would be an issue with the regeneration of the tobacco warehouse, which Peel are turning into apartments. Would a view of a huge stadium effect the sale value of the apartments?

The dock site suggested, and currently being discussed between Peel and Everton isn't Clarence graving docks or Trafalgar
