Yeah I do as well, Moshiri is listed by Forbes Magazine as the 29th richest UK citizen, well people with the kind of money that he has more often then not simply get what they want, Koeman for example. Don't forget he owns steel and energy companies, two sectors im sure Peel have a lot of interest in, sounds perfect.

A vast amount of Moshiri's wealth stems from a 10% shareholding gift made to him by Usmanov in the latter's biggest company. Moshiri is a director (and I assume owner) of many companies, as you say, including property development, steel, mining, energy etc, but I don't know the size of them and their profit making credentials (nice project for someone though?).

One aspect seems clear to me though, Moshiri would not be going to the land owner to negotiate a expensive deal for the land if he did not have certainty about the required funding for the whole project already being in place.

Has there anything mentioned in regards to the local councils input, such as there was talk of it a few weeks ago. I know the council will have a input with a project of this size but there was talk of it being part of the Commonwealth Games bid.... I hope Morshiri have told them to bail on this count.

Infact if there was no chance of this happening then imo negotiations would have halted fairly early, and from what we are hearing they have been going on a fair while and could possibly be coming to a conclusion

I guess the current round of questions centre on:

a) timescale for a new stadium being ready
b) associated gentrification of the areas....bars, cafes, shops, hotels etc
c) new transport infrastructure to make the new stadium accessible by road and rail
d) future expansion of the site, both in terms of capacity and the range of events hosted

I've no idea if there is any information yet 'out there' regarding these aspects?

No, add it to the list of outstanding questions! I was very surprised to be told the information that I was, completely unexpected, and unless I can tap up this not that interested in football person up for more information (which would mean this person tapping up a very senior employee within Moshiri's set up!) then alas I won't be able to add anything more. I also have to be wary, this person is unlikely to appreciate being given a list of 20 questions for next time he phones or meets the guy in question.
